Essential Functions/Responsibilities

– Provide site leadership for assigned regulatory programs.
– Act as single point of contact for Environmental compliance issues within manufacturing operations.
– Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for assigned units and programs.
– Work with area operations to meet environmental expectations and improve operating metrics.
– Implement programs that achieve both regulatory requirements and operational flexibility.

Qualifications/Requirements

– BS degree in Chemical Engineering preferred
– A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a chemical or industrial setting. Ideally 10 years or more of relevant experience.
– Provide technical direction and execution of critical environmental programs.
– Experience with P&ID’s and PFD’s for chemical processes.
– Beneficial experience in several of these areas:

· Stack testing, CEMS/COMS, ISO14001, RCRA (BIF & CA), TSCA (PCBs) and CERCLA Experience with NPDES, SPCC, and SWPPP permitting and compliance programs.
· LDAR, Refrigerant Management (ODS)
· RCRA LQG (incl. DOT), Used Oil, Universal Waste and non-hazardous waste compliance programs.
· Experience with process MACT programs – HON, MON, GMACT, Polymers & Resins MACT
· Other relevant MACT experience: Coating MACTS (Subparts JJJJ, PPPP), OLD MACT, RICE MACT, Boiler MACT, HWC MACT
· Experience at a major process facility with SARA/TRI, iSTEPS program and reporting
· NSR and Title V Permitting including emission estimate experience

– Agency Interface with on-site regulatory inspections and permitting functions and other standards related to various Federal and State agencies.
– Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required.
– Proven track record of leading organizational changes and program implementation.
– Demonstrated analytical skills
– Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate individuals teams and interact cross-functionally.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Elvan Chemicals seeks high energy, goal-focused individuals who are proactive in problem solving and have the leadership and communication skills needed to help a diversified global business achieve its goals. Successful candidates will work in manufacturing engineering and interface with technology, quality, and commercial teams to drive performance improvements in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS), Cost, Revenue, and Quality.

Responsibilities for the position include:

· Identify and execute performance improvement projects and engineering studies, including plant trials to meet current year objectives and as part of development of a multi-generational plan for the manufacturing units in which the individual has responsibilities for (80%)
· Provide advanced technical support to troubleshoot plant issues and implement corrective actions (20%)

This position will include process engineering responsibility in one or more of the manufacturing units on site. Engineering disciplines will include but are not limited to: reaction kinetics/chemistry, fluid flow including powder transfer, heat transfer, distillation, centrifugation and separation, solids handling and mixing, and polymer processing/compounding.

The site is located in Mt. Vernon, IN – just west of Evansville, IN.

Qualifications/Requirements

Degrees: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering accepted.

Additional Requirements:

· Five years (or more) experience in chemical manufacturing and/or extrusion environment
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to collect, organize and analyze large amounts of data
· Demonstrated track record of teamwork
